Deliciously Entangled

A few years ago, Hubby and I spent ten wonderful days in Paris, one of our favorite places to vacation.  From there we took trips to  surrounding attractions like Giverny (think Claude Monet) and Normandy (incredibly moving experience).  A major highlight for me was a trip to Reims, in the Champagne region of France.  (Huge surprise, right?)  P1150528Among the tasting rooms we visited was Moet et Chandon a Eperney, the makers of one of my fave champagnes ever.  (Did I mention this was a highlight? :-))

Knowing this, Hubby insisted on buying a bottle to haul on the plane with us (back in the days before the Shoe Bomber changed all that).  And from the moment the cash register rang up our purchase, my hero guarded that sucker like it was the Hope Diamond.  Why?  Because, he declared, this bottle was special, this bottle was destined to be “The One.”

As in, the one we cracked open when I sold my first novel. . ..

Cheers,
