Welcome to Mash-Up Monday!

Ah, summer flowers. . .. I love the variety of available bouquets available this time of year. And since flowers grown in my garden are pretty much at my mercy, I try not to plan on too many of them surviving. Thank goodness our local farmers’ market has vendors who have a much greener thumb than I do! Here’s some of what was there recently:

My gardening thumb is practically lethal. Which was why I love going to our county fair to admire the entries in the gardening contests. (I think there’s a fancier name for them, but whatevs.)

I’m running away from home this weekend.  Yep, packing up my bags and heading out.  Just me.  Unleashed on the world!  Well, okay, maybe more like unleashed to someplace just a few hours north, but still. . . I’ll be untethered by Hubby, Kitties, or Niece!  *Happy Dancing*

Heh.  Any bets on how long I’ll last before I get homesick enough to call home?

Anyway, I offer you this taste of summer, grown on my back deck, and surprisingly still alive!  (Note: regular watering helps.  *nods head sagely*)
