Welcome to Food and Wine Wednesday!
With summer quickly coming to a close, so too, does our warm weather and the outdoor concerts that play throughout our part of the world. These concerts have become a bit of a tradition for Mr. A and me, and a great way to inject some mid-week fun into our lives. (Cuz there are never enough of those, right?)
One of the dilemmas we’ve had was figuring out what to eat. (Oh, how I love having a First World problem!) Warm afternoon…cool drinks..light food. Wasn’t this the perfect plate to share?
Pretty. Delicious. And definitely something we’ll have again. And we might not bother to wait until next summer, either. (We’re such rebels! 😉 )
What’s your favorite cheese and fruit pairing? Please share!
Happy eating,
Melia
That looks delicious! Cheese and fruit is one of my favorite things ❤️
I recently discovered Stilton cheese with dried apricots already in it. See Trader Joe’s for this one if you are interested. I pairs really well with the fresh apples that are just being picked throughout Oregon and Washington. Also, goes well with fresh figs if you can find any.

This was the perfect plate for us that day, Leigh. And the location was pretty awesome, too!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ooooh, what a great idea, Laurel! Must try that. I’m thinkin one of the local stores has dried figs in its bulk section. Those are delish dipped in dark chocolate… just sayin’! 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an awesome weekend!

Alas, I can’t have dairy. My husband likes apples with pepper cheese of any kind.
Ooooh, man! So sorry to hear that, Sarah. Cheese is one of those things I love but try not to have too often. Not on the Paleo diet, you know? Then again, neither are red wine or chocolate! 🙂
Thanks bunches for stopping by!
Hugs,
Melia
